HIMALAYAN INITIATIVES NEPAL CHARITY TREK
Pikey Peak, Dudh Kunda Circuit & Project Villages
12th - 28th OCT 2019
This year we are offering a very special Charity Trek itinerary. We will be returning to Lower Solu Khumbu in East Nepal to climb not only Pikey Peak, which at 4069m offers magnificent views of some Himalayan giants including Everest, Numbur, Kanchanjunga and Lhotse, but we are then trekking north towards the high mountains to undertake the Dudh Kunda circuit reaching the Dudh Kund sacred lake at 4560m. This is a challenging trek, away from the main tourist trails and rewarded, (weather permitting), by breath taking mountain scenery and the opportunity to experience Sherpa culture and visit fascinating Buddhist monasteries. We will also be spending time in Nele and nearby villages to learn about our community projects, with the opportunity to assist with our metal stove project, meet with the local people and experience a traditional shamanic chinta.
