We couldn't do this without you!

We cannot thank our supporters enough for the generous donations we have received. If you'd like to donate to Himalayan Initiatives to support our work you can do so securely and simply by clicking on the 'Donate Now' button below. This will take you straight to our Everyday Hero Edinburgh Kiltwalk Fundraising Page.

Previously we have accepted donations through BTmydonate which closed at the end of June 2019 - we are currently in the process of registering with the fundraising platform Meantime the Kiltwalk is an amazing way to donate and means your donation goes even further as The Hunter Foundation will increase your donation by 40%.

In June 2019 six of our supporters successfully undertook the Aberdeen Kiltwalk Mighty Stride (26 miles) and in September 2019 3 supporters completed the Edinburgh Kiltwalk -a great effort, greatly appreciated. The deadline for the 40% uplift on the 2019 Kiltwalk donations has passed but you can still donate to Himalayan Initiatives through our Edinburgh Kiltwalk page.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining our team for a Kiltwalk in 2020.

Details of our next 2020 Kiltwalk will be posted shortly

Who is Kiltwalk?

Kiltwalk is a unique charity that enables walkers to raise money for any Scottish charity of their choice. By staging events that bring together thousands of walkers who fundraise for their chosen charity or cause, we support those in need of a helping hand.

What is the Kiltwalk?

The Kiltwalk is a walking event with three distances to choose from, suitable for walkers of all ages and experiences. The Kiltwalk is also a powerful fundraising model, developed and under-written by Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation.  Their support will enable 140% of the sponsorship money raised by Kiltwalkers to go directly to their charity or local cause. Every walker can select the charity or local cause that they wish to donate to.
